Vaco Staffing is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Corporate Risk and Safety Manager for a prominent player in the retail industry. This position is located in Marshall, MN, and offers relocation assistance for the right candidate. The role focuses on managing compliance with regulatory and ethical standards across the company's operations.
Position: Corporate Risk and Safety Manager, Loss Prevention
Location: Marshall, MN
Function:
- Ensure company operations conform to legal regulations and ethical standards applicable to the retail industry.
- Oversee operational compliance, including monitoring business practices, reporting violations, and evaluating company policies for potential risks.
- Ensure adherence to both state and federal regulations pertinent to retail operations.
- Reports to the Director of Operations.
- Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources on safety and risk-related matters.
- Oversees a team responsible for implementing risk and safety protocols.
- Audit operational practices regularly to ensure compliance with legal and internal guidelines, focusing on safety and risk prevention.
- Develop and uphold safety protocols to reduce operational risks and enhance customer and employee safety.
- Formulate and execute risk assessment strategies to safeguard against internal and external security threats.
- Revise and enforce comprehensive company policies regarding operational safety and risk management.
- Manage security infrastructure, including surveillance systems and physical access controls.
- Spearhead employee training initiatives to promote a thorough understanding of company safety and compliance regulations.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on potential risks and safety investments.
- Compile and present detailed reports on safety measures and compliance to executive leadership.
- At least five years of relevant experience in risk management and safety within the retail sector such as loss prevention, etc.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field is advantageous.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, ethical judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% to various retail locations for compliance reviews and risk assessments.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate the needs of business operations, including occasional weekends and evenings.
- Willingness to relocate to Marshall, MN if not local to the area.
- Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000.
- Performance-based bonus annually, historically ranging between 10-15%.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
