v For more than 20 years, our medical team has provided expert care to people in need of life-saving organ transplants in one of Southern California's premier transplant centers. Our team includes nationally recognized transplant surgeons, hepatologists and nephrologists specializing in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, along with support staff who are dedicated to the unique care of solid organ transplant patients. We are the Dedicated Recovery Center for the local OPO.

v As Director, Clinical Services - Solid Organ Transplant, you will develop and implement initiatives and provide operational leadership for the solid organ transplant program to ensure the highest quality patient care.

v You will be responsible for the regulatory compliance with all state and federal governing bodies including CMS, UNOS, TJC, CDPH and with internal policies. This includes processes for accreditation, survey readiness and data submission.

v You will identify and implement operational improvements utilizing lean methodologies and A3 thinking, supporting department growth while mentoring department staff through the change management process.

v You will build strategic partnerships, designing and implementing business development activities including contracting and strategic marketing/advertising initiatives to meet the strategic growth objectives.

v You will create and maintain an environment that assures established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety and optimal outcomes.

v You will be responsible for the financial management of the solid organ transplant department.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

* Bachelor's degree plus 7 years' experience, 3 of which in a transplant program leadership role.

* Expertise in CMS and UNOS regulations

* Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.

* Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the health care environment including economic factors, change theory, clinical care delivery in the acute, ambulatory and long-term setting.

* Demonstrates expertise in leadership in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment that requires exceptional flexibility.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complex problem-solving abilities, planning and follow through.


Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

* Masters degree.
