Position Purpose/ Summary: To offer eligible Service Members currently approved to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program the opportunity to gain first-hand experience and insight into Visions Enterprise Project Management Office as an Enterprise Project Coordinator. The Enterprise Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the vision and strategy of the ePMO. Must be SkillBridge participant.

Location: Onsite, Endwell NY

Hours: To be determined

Responsibilities:

  • Follow project and program management methodology for identified initiatives, including Project Governance processes, standard tools, templates, timelines, communications, financials, and risk management.
  • Assist in keeping project and program management methodology consistent and documentation up to date throughout the CU.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Creates and tracks project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Responsible for providing meeting recap documents and status reports to the project team.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • DoD Skillbridge Approval. Must be SkillBridge participant.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 yrs. project management experience required.

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with leadership and employees on an on-going basis, this position requires (and is not limited to):

    • Exceptional critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
    • Understanding of change management concepts and methodologies
    • Knowledge of PMI framework, Agile Practices, and Change Management.
    • Experience collaborating across multiple functions to achieve desired goals
    • Proficient in different tools and methodologies to organize, manage progress and report.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Efficient time management and organizational skills
    • Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment)
    • Positively communicate with a diverse membership
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Strong computer and math skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail-oriented

    Usual Work Environment/Equipment Used: This position operates in a professional office environment, with expectation to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, Microsoft Office, etc.

    Compensation Range: $28.00/hr. - $ 36.50/hr. (Potential salary if hired by Visions as a full-time employee: SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Visions Federal Credit Union, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.)
