HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

This position is responsible for establishing direction and providing leadership to ensure sustainable recycling product line growth and profit. The Business Unit Manager, Environmental Services will develop and implement strategic planning, prepare a related annual operating plan, and collaborate with the other functional leaders to oversee day-to-day business. As part of the annual operating plan, the role will develop the recycling product line roadmap, market pricing, marketing/sales plan, and operations requirements in conjunction with teammates from the broader Lube-Tech Business Unit.

  • Develops the recycling short-range and long-range strategic and business plan.
  • Builds/maintains key customer relationships while investigating/facilitating new opportunities within the business.
  • Monitors performance as it relates to key goals and financial performance, assuring accountability for plan execution and implementing corrective actions as required on an ongoing basis.
  • Positions Lube-Tech as an Environmental Solutions (vs. used oil collection) company providing a comprehensive recycling offering - i.e. containerized waste, oily water processing, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive strategies and tactics to expand the recycling product portfolio and integrate into Lube-Tech's bundled product and service offerings.
  • Develops related pricing and promotional strategies in partnership with the applicable business development managers.
  • Executes sales plan in conjunction with sales leadership overseeing recycling sales pipeline, sales incentives, and service contracts.
  • Completes ongoing sales and operations planning to balance demand and supply, maximizing product line value.
  • Oversees burner fuel contracting in conjunction with New Business Development to ensure we lock down commitments and drive profitability.
  • Develops alternative burner fuel markets (i.e. base oil) to diversify end-use markets and increase value.

        WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

        Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, and/or Environmental Sciences or Engineering.

        Experience and/or Training:

        • A proven track record of successfully building/scaling business models through strong marketing and sales focus.
        • Prior Product Management experience, preferably for a recycling, energy, or distribution company.
        • Proven track record of building a collaborative team environment; demonstrable effective leadership skills.
        • Financial skills: ability to read, interpret, and explain financial and operating reports.
        • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
        • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.
        • Experience with DOT, OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT, Safety and Compliance

        Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license

        Technology/Equipment: Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

        Travel: Occasional travel to supplier, customer, and internal sites.
