Job Description

The primary purpose of the Wealth Management Portfolio Analyst is to support the investment team. Functions include creating and maintaining various investment management reports, assisting with equity and fixed income trading and assisting portfolio managers with various portfolio management functions. This role serves as a liaison with the operations and front office groups.

This role will:

  • Be proficient with all technology applications in order to generate and maintain various reports for the investment team and the front office, e.g., Microsoft Office and Morningstar Direct.
  • Maintain all investment strategies and benchmarks within Morningstar Direct.
  • Accurately and timely report investment performance, and other reporting requirements, each month.
  • Maintain the investment team's internal Sharepoint site, ensuring content such as approve lists, model allocations, commentary and other information is updated in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between the investment team and the investment processing platform to resolve any issues such as failed trades, report system updates and convey other information as needed.
  • Update model portfolio trade recommendations on a monthly basis.
  • Provide the necessary support to the portfolio managers on the team, allowing them to focus on research and client engagement.
  • Actively follow markets and industry news to keep up to date on relevant trends/topics.
  • Execute mutual fund, equity and fixed income trades efficiently and accurately.
  • Focus on finding better and more efficient ways to manage processes -Strive to grow in investment knowledge in order to assume greater investment responsibilities in the future.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all areas, including front office and operations.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Bremer's risk management approach including compliance with all applicable industry regulations, state and federal regulations, Bremer's policies and procedures, and completion of all required training which supports compliance throughout.
  • Minimize fraud related losses by maintaining constant awareness and reacting promptly to suspicious activity and deceptive practices; follow established. company guidelines for identification and reaction to suspicious activity and fraud.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience & 2 years' experience.
  • Pursuit of the CFA charter is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to present a professional image and demeanor to internal and external customers -Interact constructively and effectively with all constituencies and work collaboratively toward a common goal.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and groups of employees in order to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Ability to effectively present information and responses to questions from groups of employees, managers, and/or customers.
  • Multi-task and maintain an optimistic outlook in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Accept and implement changes with processes, people, and circumstances exhibiting a positive approach to each situation.
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers and personalize interactions.
  • Interpret and carry out objectives furnished in written or oral form and a demonstrated commitment to act within industry standards.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure guidelines and manual.
