Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, the incumbent provides support and customer service to the School's Undergraduate Studies Programs and the Outreach and Diversity Programs. The incumbent must demonstrate working knowledge of the campus resources in which students, staff and faculty can be referred to such as the Social Science Counseling Office, Ombudsman's Office, Faculty & Staff Assistance, Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, Career Center, and the Cross Cultural Center.

As a member of the School of Social Sciences, the incumbent is tasked with upholding and exemplifying excellence in the University's core competencies-- job mastery, goal accomplishment, enterprise contribution and innovation-- while representing the Dean, Associate Dean and the School of Social Sciences to members of the campus and the community at large., is imperative that the incumbent is a team player, supporting change management at the department level while aiding in the facilitation of effective change School-wide. The expected pay range for this recruitment is $23.67 - $32.79 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $23.67 - $33.52 (Hourly Rate).
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skill to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a broad cross section of the population including students, professional staff and faculty.
  • Experience working in the field of higher education, preferably in student affairs, working with groups with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain workflow with changing priorities and frequent interruptions and to organize and prioritize fluctuating workloads.
