Luna is seeking a Sales Manager to join the terahertz sales team. The successful candidate will be immersed in learning the state-of-the-art optical technology that is internally supported by research scientists, engineers, manufacturing, and service team members. This new role will be focused on North America business.

What you will be doing:

  • As a key member of Luna terahertz team, you will be handling technical engagements with end user customers, resellers, and system integrators.
  • Develop sales strategy and execute against this strategy to exceed sales goals.
  • Perform technical presentations to end customers, resellers, and system integrators.
  • Establish relationships and influence executives, technical leaders, marketing, manufacturing, and engineering team members.
  • Expand our channel sales, and system integrators portfolio to attain sales goals.
  • Promote and improve our market leadership position through speaking engagements, tradeshows, and industry focused networking events.
  • Help customers understand the value proposition our offerings through its technical merits and ROI.

What we need to see:

  • 10+ years of experience hands-on high-tech sales with sales leadership acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, other technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven successful sales goals attainment track record.
  • Forecast and manage complex sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Experience in leading complex multi-million-dollar opportunities to successful completions including contract negotiations.
  • Proven ability to influence, promote, and persuade at operational and executive levels internally and externally.
  • Proven track record of customer centric consultative sales model that is demonstrable with superior performance track record.
  • Ability to travel up to two weeks per month.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).

Working Conditions:

  • Some exposure to light industrial laboratory and production environment with little exposure to noise, dust, dirt, temperature, and the like.
  • Job requires travel to customer sites and meetings at the customer locations. Environmental conditions will vary.
