Join the Development Team as an intern, where you will assist the Peabody Essex Museum's Development Donor Relations and Events Team. This internship affords the applicant the unique opportunity to gain experience in events, hospitality, and fundraising. Responsibilities may include writing materials for donor cultivation and stewardship, assisting with specific research and data gathering projects, helping with the successful planning and execution of cultivation and fundraising events (including the Annual Gala on 11/9/24 - applicants must be available for this date), and providing administrative support to the Development Team as needed. Interns are encouraged to join all department activities and meetings. You may also assist in coordinating mailings for invitations, prepare, proofread and edit correspondence; track event RSVPs, guest list and seating assignments, and may provide additional support for some weekend and evening events. You will also gain experience in PEM's donor database Tessitura. In addition to the duties above, the Development Team works with you to create specific projects that align with your academic pursuits and personal interests. These projects are essential to creating a meaningful internship experience.

Internship Qualifications: College student with excellent written and oral communication, planning and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and precise attention to detail are a plus. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suites. Must effectively interact with members of the Development staff, as well as other museum departments. Experience conducting online research preferred. Some evening and weekend work required, as applicant's schedule will allow. This internship provides a stipend of $1500.00 and will require approximately 15 hours a week, on site.
