Job Function

  • Design, implement, test, and release embedded firmware for new products, and new features on existing products
  • Design, implement, test, and release electronic designs for new products, and new features on existing products
  • Debug, integrate, and test embedded hardware/firmware designs at the system level
  • Document hardware/firmware in accordance with applicable medical device development standards (e.g. requirements/design specifications, verification & validation protocols/reports)
  • Transfer new designs and features to production, including test fixtures/procedures
  • Support and interact with other departments, including R&D, technical support, field service, and manufacturing
  • Support system compliance efforts when necessary

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of work experience in systems hardware and firmware development
  • Schematic design using Orcad, and/or Altium
  • Analog/Digital circuit design including FPGAs
  • Communications over SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, Ethernet
  • Proficient in C/Verilog programming languages
  • Development of embedded firmware for the ARM microprocessor or equivalent preferred
  • Development of Cyclone FPGA designs using Quartus Prime or equivalent preferred
  • Design documentation including requirement specifications, verification protocols/reports
  • Transferring of new designs to production, including development of test fixtures/procedures
  • Product development in a regulated ISO 13485 environment preferred

License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit person from Country Group B.
