Your opportunity

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Eden Prairie, MN.

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for various engineering activities including assisting with the design of commercial lighting controls and evaluating and testing products and components. You'll work closely with other disciplines in the development and timely completion of projects (planning and scheduling, cost analysis, evaluation of alternatives, design review, management review, tooling release, and production release).

What you'll do
  • Assist with and validate the design of commercial lighting controllers and sensors; mechanical drafting and 3D modeling of assemblies and parts.

  • Prepares and submit project plans and schedules.

  • Obtain prototypes, performing evaluation testing and first article inspection.

  • Develop performance tests of designed components, assemblies, or systems; prepare test requests for UL compliance, coordinate quarterly inspections, and resolve variances.

  • Coordinate the development of final products and documentation for release to production; support production and resolve issues.

  • Issue RFQs and evaluate quotes; process REA/ECO (Request for Engineering Action/Engineering Change Order) requests.

  • Support engineering data management and documentation; change and update BOM's (Bill of Materials) and product structures.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years of experience in product development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (internship experience qualifies)

  • Experience working with digital and analog circuits

  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) skills a plus

  • Knowledge of CAD software and fabrication processes

  • Well-developed interpersonal, project management, time management, and communication skills

  • Experience in the lighting industry or controls field preferred

  • Salary:$61,600 - 90,310

  • Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 5%
