The Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.

Job Description

The Procurement function in Ultra manages direct and indirect procurement needs ensuring robust processes exists to facilitate adherence to business requirements, to drive cost down Initiatives and to control the risks associated with a diverse supplier base. The team works with suppliers to negotiate the most cost effective and business appropriate agreements for the supply of key materials and services which will show continual performance improvements against defined KPIs.
The role holder will perform the full range of clearly defined procedures, and will typically be considered skilled through on-the-job experience. Resolves routine issues without supervisory approval. Has developed skills through formal training and/or work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Support the procurement team in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
  • Assist in analyzing inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize inventory management.
  • Help maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and supplier information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing reports for management review.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to various aspects of supply chain management.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
    • Knowledge of supply chain concepts and principles is preferred but not required.
    • Previous internship or work experience in supply chain management or manufacturing is a plus.
