Duties:
Responsible for the execution of new product strategy, concept development, product renovations, and partnering to drive HMM (Holistic Margin Management) initiatives forward to enable our yogurt products to win in the marketplace. Lead research and development (R&D) and have exposure to a broad range of products and technologies across our Liberte and Yoplait brands. Provide coaching and serve as team leader for a multi-location team. Leverage technical understanding and excellence to lead product R&D across innovation, renovation, and HMM projects from ideation to commercialization. Build and execute pipeline of innovation and renovation ideas for the Canada Yogurt business in collaboration with internal and external partners. Partner and influence cross functionally with the business and supply chain team to develop and advance core growth pipeline. Manage and lead multiple technically complex projects: create technical plans, timelines, risk management, and mitigation plans; identify opportunities by challenging formulation and processing assumptions. Coach and develop R&D team members on project execution across a portfolio of projects. Build strong relationships, work closely within cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain) and with external partners to develop outstanding product solutions in line with market needs.

Requirements:

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a closely related field and three years of experience in the job offered or three years of experience in consumer food product and process development.


OR


Ph.D in Food Science, Engineering, or a closely related field and one year of experience in the job offered or one year of experience in consumer food product and process development.


Experience must include
1. One year of experience in product idea generation, development, quality, and safety evaluation
2. Food chemistry with knowledge of how various processing can have an impact on food product attributes
3. Functionality, behavior, and chemistry of proteins (plant and animal) in complex model food systems to improve the product and process characteristics
4. One year of experience in proposing, planning and driving execution of various scientific experiments related to protein, carbohydrate (sugars), and lipid functionality in different food model systems
5. One year of experience in demonstrating effective cross-functional (internal and external) collaboration in the food industry, to drive successful project and strategy execution in a highly dynamic and multicultural environment.

Experience can be gained from academic coursework or work experience. Domestic and international travel up to 25%. Background checks and drug testing are required.

The salary range for this position $113,214-$150,300. Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $113214.00 - $150300.00 / Annually.
