Position Overview
This role provides instruction and advising related to course participation and student learning objectives to students enrolled in the Master of Social Work (MSW), Youth Development Leadership (YDL), and Youth Studies (YoSt) Programs. The individual in this role also engages in efforts to fulfill the mission of the School of Social Work by developing teaching materials, exams, and assignments. Individuals in this role must have the capacity to demonstrate ethical social work practice to students. Individuals in this role are required to use electronic educational technology to communicate with students and other faculty, grade assignments and exams, and submit student grades. While the majority of instruction is delivered in person, individuals in this role are expected to utilize the learning management system, Canvas, to communicate with students and to deliver supplementary instruction. Individuals not familiar with Canvas and other education technology must be willing to learn how to use this technology in order to meet the needs of students. Individuals in this role are expected to collaborate with other faculty and to follow School of Social Work and University policies.
