This position is responsible for learning to operate and maintain straight truck or tractor-trailer equipment. WE will train you to commercials transport material to a designated location in a timely manner. A successfully graduated trainee will be eligible to join the Teamsters 346 or Local 49 union. Since this is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |||
|
A successful Construction Driver for Knife River will have: * A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent critical thinking skills * A valid Commercial Driver's Permit with acceptable driving record (Don't have a permit? We can give you some resources to get started!) * Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation physical and CDL * Ability to pass a Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screen and remain substance free This position requires travel throughout Northern MN and North Dakota. Most drivers will stay overnight on-location during the season. |
