Location: Remote; in-person operations based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, US

Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced Consultant Editor available for multiple short-term assignments over the course of six to twelve months. Specific assignments under the consultancy will be administered under individual Work Order Agreements (WOAs). The number of assignments is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:
The Consultant Editor shall assist URC with editing and graphic design needs. Editing assistance shall be for existing US Government projects and business proposals. The Consultant is responsible for editing and graphic design for proposals and project reports.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
  • Editing technical project reports and proposals including appendices for grammar and style;
  • Supporting document formatting and basic graphic design.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Previous experience editing donor-funded documents and proposals, and experience with designing and editing graphic elements of reports and informational products.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in relevant discipline;
  • Experience: 10+ years with USG-funded work in public health or a relevant field required;
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional editing and graphic design experience preferred.
