TheLeominster Adult Outpatient Centerprovides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Leominster Counseling Center also offers specialized substance use disorder treatment. Our office based opioid treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment and we have a Second Offender Alcohol Education program.

The Senior Receptionist provides administrative support to consumers and staff of our integrated outpatient community behavioral health care centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients.

  • Perform check-in and check-out with clients, including verifying insurance eligibility, entering information on lapsed insurance/new insurance, collecting co-pays and balances due and providing receipts, submitting cash sheets, updating client demographics, notifying staff that client is checked in.

  • Schedule client appointments.

  • Enter and make changes to staff schedules.

  • Complete administrative intake with clients, including providing intake packets to clients and collecting completed forms.

  • Answer calls and emails and respond to messages.

  • Complete referrals to specialists.

  • Complete daily reminder calls.

  • Complete prior authorizations.

  • Complete PT1s.

  • Transfer and close cases in the electronic medical record.

  • Send and distribute faxes and mail.

  • Work as a member of the support team.

  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record.

  • Assist doctors and clinicians with letters and referrals.

  • Maintain calendars, professional meetings, vacations, conferences.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Grade C02 Senior Receptionist: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED/HiSet required; Associates degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience.

  • Advanced computer skills, including use of an electronic medical record Strong commitment to customer service Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to use office equipment, including copy machines, computers, printers, telephones and four drawer vertical filing cabinets.

  • Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines Excellent oral communication skills Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desired.

  • MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVENING HOURS ON WEEKDAYS (Closing 8pm Mon-Fri), AND DAY SHIFT HOURS ON WEEKENDS(9 am-5 pm SAT & SUN).
