CHL's STEP (Screening and Treatment of Early Psychosis) program provides both patients and families with education, support and the highest quality medical care during the crucial early phase of psychotic disorders to improve long term outcomes. The program provides services to individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 who are experiencing early psychotic symptoms or who are experiencing psychotic prodrome, which are early signs that a psychotic illness might be about to happen. The program, located in Worcester, provides individual, group, family counseling, psychopharmacology, physical health monitoring and substance abuse screening and treatment.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct clinical treatment to adults 18 and over including:

  • Diagnostic evaluations, urgent care assessment andintervention, treatment planning, individual, group, couples, and familytherapy.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic treatmentand planning conferences.

  • Participates as a member of the Open Access team.

  • Maintains clients EMR following the standards of theclinic.

  • Maintains productivity standard.

  • Attends staff meetings as required including integrated care meeting.

  • Attends administrative meetings and in-servicetrainings.

  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.

  • May provide clinical supervision to staff or interns.

  • Respect diverse views and approaches, demonstrate Standards of Respect, and contribute to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE Licensed or License-eligible.

  • Grade C12: Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Grade C14: Clinician IV:Master's Degree andLICSW in the State of Massachusetts. Experience in the area of practice necessary.

  • 2 years' experience providing behavioral health therapeutic services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring, or primary substance use conditions preferred.
