Job Summary:

IPG interns will hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment tackling real time manufacturing challenges. You will work in concert with experienced engineers on a process improvement or development project, the results of which will be presented to your team at the end of the summer. At the conclusion of your time with IPG, you will have gained unique knowledge and lifelong connections.

Job Functions:

• Provide support to Engineers in various tasks such as board design and troubleshooting
• Participate in Testing setups improvement and prototype design
• Participate in equipment repair and maintenance as well in electromechanical assembly activities
• Understand control and functions of testing equipment such as power supplies, power meters, temperature controllers, spectrometers etc.
• Support development and procedures documentation such as schematics, Bill of Material and design change notices

Education:

Must be enrolled in 3rd year of a relevant engineering degree program with a College or University, preferred disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Material Science/ Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering

Experience:

• Basic knowledge of engineering principles
• MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Familiarity with software tools like SolidWorks, SQL, and Origin is a plus

Required:

• Must be able to work from the IPG facility located in Oxford MA
• Must have reliable transportation to arrive to work on time
