Job Description
We are seeking an HR Business Partner Manager to join our HR team. The location is Cannon Falls, MN. Our HR team spans four sites across our organization.

Purpose Statement

To support the vision and goals of Gemini, Inc. acting as a strategic business partner who aligns the human resources function with the overall business objectives. This position involves a strategic focus on workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and collaboration with business leaders across one or more facilities to enhance the organization's performance.

Essential Functions

40% - Employee Operations (Experience)

  • Coaches business leaders on key organizational and personnel issues, supporting conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of HR policies across the organization.
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of written and verbal communications to employees regarding organizational change, benefits, compensation, and policies.
  • Collaborates with legal and compliance teams to develop and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Supports the overall direction and administration of the organization's benefits and compensation programs to ensure systems and programs are consistently used in determining fair and equitable compensation for all positions and individuals.
  • Conducts and/or supports employee relations, or compliance investigations and maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with reporting requirements, labor laws, and company policies to ensure employee concerns are handled in a fair and consistent manner.

20% - Organizational Culture & Change

  • Develops and implements initiatives to foster a positive work environment, enhance employee engagement, and promote Gemini's culture.
  • Develops and implements programs that support a culture that seeks out and values diversity and belonging.
  • Actively promotes and participates in a continuous improvement culture within the Human Resource department and the overall organization.
  • Conducts Gemini employee feedback sessions to gather insight and partners with leaders to create and execute action plans to drive employee engagement.

20% - Talent Management and Organizational Development

  • Leads talent acquisition efforts by working closely with HRBPs and hiring managers to identify staffing needs, facilitate the recruitment process, and ensure an exemplary onboarding experience.
  • Supports the implementation of talent development initiatives including facilitation of training programs and support of succession planning and performance management processes.
  • Partners with business leaders to assess organizational needs and implement strategies to support the identification and development of high potential team members.

15% - Strategic Human Resources Planning

  • Collaborates with business leaders to understand key business objectives and aligns HR initiatives accordingly.
  • Develops and implements HR plans and programs to support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Utilizes HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Owns regular reporting on key areas of responsibility including highlighting key HR metrics and trends.
  • Manages budgets as required to ensure financial objectives are met.

5% - Other

  • Represents the organization as a professional in the community and marketplace.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations and acts as an advocate to support Gemini's safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with a variety of computer programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now and Cornerstone OnDemand preferred.)

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 10+ years' professional experience with 5+ years' experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • 3+ years HRBP or Generalist role preferred.
  • HR experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Master's degree and professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
