Hours: The contract includes multiple assignments that will be assigned within individual Work Order Agreements (WOAs). Multiple assignments ranging from 1-50 days over 6-12 months.
Consulting Rate: Commensurate with required experience and qualifications
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (A/MENA) Programs

Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced Tuberculosis (TB) Subject Matter Expert to support business development.
Responsibilities:
The Consultant will be an active member of the URC proposal team throughout the capture and proposal development phase of new business opportunities focused on TB, working closely with the Proposal Lead and Proposal Manager on assigned tasks.
Assignments may include:
  • Conduct research on the context of TB in proposal countries, including analysis of the TB epidemic and prevention and control efforts, competitors, and potential partners and staffing.
  • Read and interpret solicitations to identify critical items required for a compliant response.
  • Contribute to proposal design as a subject matter expert: participate in design sessions and brainstorming to develop win themes, strategies, and activities.
  • Serve as a lead or contributing writer on proposals
  • Provide written and oral feedback on proposal drafts, including serving as a color team reviewer as a part of a proposal team
Assignments may required travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
URC is looking for an experienced global health business development consultant with previous experience working with business development for international organizations and the US Government. Additionally, the consultant must have strong technical skills in health systems strengthening and governance.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Advanced medical degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of programmatic global health work and business development experience for international donor-funded programing.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and finalizing global health proposals
  • Demonstrated experience with USAID TB programs.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required. Excellent English language writing skills.
  • Outstanding inter-personal skills and attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
