Job Description
ULTRA Energy in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to work under the direct supervision of the Logistics Manager. The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple departments and company leadership to ensure the success and growth of the company while in tandem displaying behaviors in line with ULTRA's ONE Energy Values.

Coordinate and lead the operation of the Shipping and Receiving sections of the Logistics and Materials department, assuring inventory accuracy, achieving desired levels of finished goods and materials utilization, and meeting shipping goals and dates. Performs manual and administrative tasks required to effect proper shipment of completed Sales Orders and other shipments as required. Coordinates and completes all Export shipment documentation in accordance with all applicable agency rules and regulations. Monitors Government compliance communications and assists Logistics Manager and Director of Operations in developing appropriate company policy and practices to always remain current with requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities of material handlers to provide direction in the issuing of materials for production use, stocking material received, and maintaining the computerized Inventory Control records.

  • Receives outbound shipments from Manufacturing, Stockroom or other departments and ships manufactured products.

  • Serve as an effective leader for team members to ensure adherence to safety standards and policies such as proper lifting, stacking and packing techniques.

  • Communicate with other departments to resolve problems.

  • Coordinate with Quality Control on acceptability standards, tests, and inspections

  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.

  • Control shrinkage of materials and equipment through controlled stockroom access and proper storage

  • Maintain current Operating Procedures Manual for each position.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy that meets Company standards (usage, on hand, location, and identification)

  • Approve time logs for hours worked/not worked and labor allocation.

  • Maintain logs and other records, as required.

  • Ability to perform duties of each material handler/shipper position.

  • Conduct cycle count; monitor cycle counting by clerks.

  • Verifies count and identity of outgoing items in accordance with sales order or other shipping documents.

  • Wraps and packages in accordance with specific customer or job order instructions or best shipping practices.

Desired Background and Skill Requirements

  • 4-5 years' experience in a warehousing or shipping/receiving (logistics/stockroom) environment as Lead/Supervisor

  • Physical requirements include lifting to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, extended periods of standing, pushing/pulling carts/hand trucks.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Export - Import regulations and supporting documentation training such as NAFTA, DOC, DOS, AES is preferred.

  • Export Documentation experience is preferred.

  • Must be computer literate and preferred experience with the following: UPS World Ship, FEDX Ship Manager

  • Direct experience with major carrier on-line systems is required.

  • Some Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Experience with SyteLine ERP systems is a plus.

  • DOT Hazardous Shipper and IATA current certifications are a plus.

  • Basic math skills

  • Demonstrates great interpersonal and communication skills, and maintains a positive and professional attitude

  • Demonstrates ability to work against deadlines in supporting company goals.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate under change and transitioning demands.
