Heavy industrial automation experience or a combination of formal training and related experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Allen Bradley PLC certification preferred
Experience:
Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming.
Special Training/Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software, word processing software and presentation software. Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, vibration and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Mental Activities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use interpersonal and decision-makingskills, as well as utilize teamwork, creativity, independent judgment, and discretion. Problem analysis, basic and advanced programming, and advanced math are also utilized on a regular basis. The employee will occasionally teach and conduct presentations; as well as provide mentoring, training, and supervision.
