Your Title: Technical Trainer

Job Location: Remote - USA

Our Department: Tech Training, Mobility Division, Transportation Sector

What You Will Do

The Technical Trainer organizes and directs a wide range of training activities for new and existing Support employees. This position is responsible for training and certifying all new support team members. This position also takes the lead in the development and distribution of training materials (including process documentation) and providing new product updates for employees. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop, and conduct training programs, which may consist of in-person classroom training, webinars, and virtual training sessions.

  • Prepare learning objectives, outlines, and program components.

  • Prepare presentations and training notes for training sessions.

  • Develop, organize, and grade training exercises used in class and for independent study.

  • Develop quizzes, tests, and surveys to be used for course assessment.

  • Observe and coach employees and clients in a productive, positive manner during training situations to foster strengths and address training challenges.

  • Perform administrative duties, such as tracking and reporting attendance and grades.

  • Master the setup and usage of new products developed by Trimble's development team, and communicate this knowledge to Support employees.

  • Assign and manage eLearning courses for Support employees through Cerego, Learn.Trimble, and other applications.

  • Manage multiple, complex training projects simultaneously.

  • Promote knowledge sharing among team members and other members of Trimble's organization.

  • Conduct interviews with customers to better understand their needs

What Skills And Experience You Should Bring

  • Ability to write effective lesson plans, objectives, training materials, practice exercises, and tests.

  • Ability to skillfully conduct in-person training in a classroom or virtual environment.

  • Ability to quickly establish solid relationships and effectively engage students.

  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and to remain current with rapidly developing software in an ever-changing industry.

  • Strong follow-through and work ethic, with a willingness to take on whatever tasks are needed to complete the job.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Time management skills to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work appropriately.

  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to build consensus and help drive decision making

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Technical Communications, Instructional Design or related field.

  • Experience creating and designing eLearning's for Cerego Learn, Trimble, and/or other applications.

  • Trucking/Transportation industry experience.

  • Experience with Trimble Transportation products and services.
