Job/Internship Description
The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

The Mechanical Engineer Intern provides engineering development and support to current and legacy products. Responsible for the development and documentation of assembling new or modified mechanical components for the aerospace industry to support the overall goals of Ultra. In addition, the Mechanical Engineer - Intern will support component, subassembly and system-level evaluations and testing. This position will support engineering activities throughout the manufacturing stage of the product life cycle and perform additional duties as assigned.

This position is a full-time summer internship expected to last no more than 12 weeks, starting in May, and ending in early August.

Required Skills:

  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ year of experience in related internship or role
  • Relevant industry knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
