In the early 1930’s, workers at Wright Field in Dayton Ohio decided to chip in 25¢ a week to help an ailing co-worker and his struggling family. Recognizing a great idea, they later took a quarter each payday to create a fund for fellow workers who might also one day need help. It was called “The Sunshine Fund”. It was this shoebox of money that evolved to become today’s Wright-Patt Credit Union. Our story is about the power of people working together to help one another and become stronger as a whole.
