Company Origins

In 1994 Superior Transportation Services, Inc. was founded to provide our customers with specialized domestic airfreight and surface transportation services. By providing time sensitive production line logistic services we grew a niche base of customers with our focus primarily on manufacturing companies. As our customers developed a more global reach through the 90’s the natural progression was to go international With growing consumer demand for additional time sensitive and high service level transportation services reaching across our borders, we made the strategic decision to expand our transportation services to include international import air freight, ocean transportation, and US Customs services. In 1997, we formed Superior Brokerage Services, Inc. to allow us to integrate a seamless supply chain to and from any location in the world and Superior Transportation Services became SBS Transportation, Inc. In 2001 SBS Group of companies grew to include, Superior Third Party logistics, SBS Transportation, & Superior Brokerage Services which allows us to meet the transportation needs of our customers from conception to destination and everything in between. In 2006 we expanded our Transportation services to include a specialized division that meets the needs of oversized and flatbed transportation. We have broken out our International Exports division now known as SBS-International, Inc. and launched our agent program under SBS Transportation.

Our Company Today

All of the companies under the ‘SBS Group of Companies’ umbrella continue to be privately held, allowing us to provide ‘flexible and customized’ solutions for all aspects of our clients’ supply chain. We service all of our clients, small or large, by listening to their unique business needs and customizing our leading edge technology to suit whatever part of the logistics process our clients require. Our solutions are developed internally to the custom specifications and requirements of our clients.
