North Central Utility specializes in Semi-Trailer Sales, Heavy-Duty Parts, and Trailer Service & Repair. The company started as Badger Utility in Madison, WI in 1976. Since then it has grown to include 6 locations in Wisconsin as well as locations in Fargo, ND, North Mankato, MN and Rogers, MN.

During this growth, Badger Utility of Wisconsin purchased the Utility Trailer sales territory in early 2014, for Minnesota and North Dakota, and named it North Central Utility.

With the name North Central Utility representing the north central region of the United States, Badger Utility was renamed North Central Utility and the company now covers all of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

The future for North Central Utility will be built on the same principles that have brought Badger Utility to where it is today. The company will continue to focus on superior customer service, standing behind the sale, and growing relationships with its customers.
