About the Opportunity:

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking an intern/co-op that will commence in May 2023 and will give the selected student; a challenging project-based work experience, the opportunity to learn about Amcor Rigid Packaging business, the packaging industry, and receive mentorship from business leaders. This role will report to Marketing Director and have significant exposure to our business and leadership teams.

Internship Assignments:

  • Lead Generation:
    • Develop customers buyer personas, customer journey map (e.g. small/medium brands/copackers/distributors)
    • Work closely with the RBU and RSD groups to develop brand profiles for the targeted customers
    • Leverage HubSpot to develop and implement targeted campaigns in partnership with Sales and collect quantitative data from the campaigns
    • Work with external vendors to develop marketing content in alignment with customer needs

  • Marketing Research and Analytics:
    • Compile research around industry trends across the beverage categories
    • Analyze data (e.g. Euromonitor, IRI) to understand beverage industry landscape along with the individual customers/sizes/volume being targeted

  • Other Work:
    • Manage Amcor product pages, beverage SharePoint, etc.
    • Work closely with the sample fulfillment center (BLINK) to manage beverage stock skus including replenishing out-of-stock skus
    • Support marketing on tradeshows & conferences, press releases, ad-hoc data requests, etc.
    • Conduct LCA assessments on key sizes within Beverage categories - PET vs. Glass; PET vs. CAN
    • Assist in other ad-hoc requests

Basic Qualifications:

  • Packaging or Marketing Major - Junior/Senior
  • 3.2 GPA or higher, cumulatively
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualificationsand Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • HubSpot experience a plus
  • Self-motivated/ability to work independently
  • Ability to work within a team-based environment
  • Initiative to meet project milestones and deadlines
  • Interest or experience in strategy or corporate development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A continuous improvement and innovative mindset
