Job Description
Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

The U.S. Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) is the weapon system replacement for the aging LGM-30 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system (ICBM). GBSD will meet current operational requirements, while having the adaptability to affordably address changing technology and emerging threats through 2075. As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer, you will contribute to an integrated product development team that is developing critical components of the GBSD weapon system. You'll perform software requirements analysis, support research and design, and develop and test software and tools. From inventing new products or enhancing existing applications, your talent and leadership abilities will be front and center.


What you'll experience:

  • Custom hardware and software products for military customers
  • Hands-on experience with development and testing
  • Software V&V, data analysis, discrepancy reporting and corrective actions to ensure production readiness
  • Identification and resolution of technical issues across functional teams
  • Driving program timelines while also ensuring compliance with quality processes
  • Continually finding ways to innovate and improve practices
What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Strong knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting
  • Experience working on a multi-discipline team using Agile and/or Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Expertise in object oriented languages
  • Expertise working with application layer code that integrates into a larger scale system
  • Expertise working in DevOps pipelines
  • Expertise with configuration management tools such as Gitlab
  • Expertise with dynamic and static test tools such as SonarQube
  • Proficiency with project management and documentation tools such as Jira/Confluence

Target salary range: USD $135,900.00/Yr. - USD $150,900.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
