Position Summary:
This position is a key part of the Falconer Aerospace Leadership Team for the management of the Supply Chain Planners. This position also plays a key role in the coordination of all the supply chain responsibilities within the Falconer Aerospace Factory. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all supply chain activities within the factory as well as supporting the development of processes and employees within the department. The activities include forecasting, volume planning, inventory control, manufacturing planning, customer deliveries, and shipping logistics. The Factory Supply Chain Manager reports to the Factory Manager. SKF needs professionals to support its North American units producing bearings for the Aerospace & Defense industry, as well as for industrial & commercial applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a rapport with the different working partners within and outside of SKF (purchasing, suppliers, customers, sales).
  • Work with Purchasing and Suppliers to address supplier performance issues.
  • Manage inventory (supplies, tooling, materials, component, WIP, finished goods) and inventory reduction activities.
  • Serve as primary contact with Customer Service and Sales.
  • Communicate customer commitments based on effective analysis of material and capacity availability.
  • Manage planning parameters in XA to ensure accurate lead times and effective capacity planning.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring for personal development and success in achieving organizational goals.
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of existing processes and development of new processes as necessary.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or related field is required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years direct upper-level management of supply chain system/ production process flow, master scheduling, knowledge of XA (Mapics) preferred.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Must comply with all federal export control requirements (US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident).
