Job Description:

• Operate a variety of set up and operate any machine in the Production Shaft Seal Shop to perform any operation on a wide variety of aerospace and industrial special production work in various size lots for grinding and finishing operations.
• Generally falling within the milling, turning, boring, lapping, and abrasive machining procedures.
• Move from operation to operation as necessary.
• Work from oral and written instructions, prints, sketches, and process sheets. etc. Use precision measuring instruments to assure conformance to known standards.
• Perform operator capable lubrication and service as needed.
• Transport items and products.
• Make minor adjustments, set-ups performed by others.
• However, set-ups such as placing and blocking items and products on magnetic surfaces etc., are expected to be performed by operators.
• Programming and troubleshooting can be required at times.
• Maintain records and paperwork.
• Assure work areas are kept in a neat, safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Notify supervision of problems or difficulties.

The position is located Hanover, PA USA and will report to a Production Supervisor. Multiple positions and shifts available.

Job Requirements:

• Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Knowledge of measurement equipment such as gauges and mics
• Machine programming knowledge a plus
• Able to effectively work in an environment requiring considerable independent judgment, analysis, creativity, pragmatism, and self-motivation with customer focus.
• Refers to supervisor for clarification of priorities, objectives, or policies.

Machining Professionals with prior experience working with CNC, Milling, Lapping, Grinding Machines, Finishing Machines CAD, PLC, Lathes (horizontal & vertical), Mills, CNC Grinding and Honing, Machine Coding, Tool Off-Setting, knowledgeable of 5S and Lean Manufacturing, experience reading Blue Prints, utilizing Micrometers, Precision Dial Gauges, and other measuring tools are encouraged to apply!
