The Shared Analytical & Data Services (SANDS) Intern will have an awesome opportunity to support and play a pivotal role in data science, business intelligence, data enablement and analysis initiatives.
As part of the Finance team, the Shared Analytical and Data Services function (SANDS) is comprised of highly technical resources with diverse backgrounds in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Science, Forecasting, and CRM. Our team has hundreds of years of experience in turning raw data into actionable insights. We deliver data solutions, reporting & analytical tools, execute Marketing Campaigns, and perform statistical analysis for our stakeholders in Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales Operations.
SECTION TWO: JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform data extraction, cleansing, and preparation for analysis, reporting, or campaigns using SQL and/or other data access/analysis tools
Collaborate with leaders and business stakeholders to define, document, and solve business problems with data, analysis, and reporting
Define data requirements, develop and execute analytical plan to convert raw data into insights and actions for our business stakeholders
Complete project write-ups, documentation, and present results to stakeholders
Research data discrepancies, anomalies and assist IT with remediation of data defects
Perform other data, reporting, and analysis related assignments as required
Working alongside more experienced team members, intern will: Perform data extraction, cleansing, and preparation for analysis, reporting, or campaigns using SQL and/or other data access/analysis tools

SECTION THREE: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative disciplines with expected graduation within the next 12-18 months
Demonstrated academic excellence (GPA 3.0 or better on 4.0 scale)
Experience with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated application of skills and grasp of technical/analytical thought processes via project work
Exposure to one or more of following: SQL, SAS, R, Python, Cognos, Tableau
Exposure to accessing data from Relational Database structures
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to participate and work well in cross-functional teams
