Job Description

Nursing student provides assistance to licensed personnel in the delivery of patient care in an acute care setting. Performs in accordance with academic education and clinical training provided through a nursing program. Works at the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program, seeking an associate's or bachelor's degree of nursing.
  • Have successfully completed the fundamentals of the nursing course with both lecture and clinical components with documentation of knowledge/competency of basic skills.
  • Ongoing confirmation of enrollment in a nursing program as a full-time student is required each semester.
  • Maintains current BLS.
  • Maintains a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) while currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program
  • Completes all SNE competency training and education within 90 days of hire into the SNE position
