Your Role
As a Gensler Intermediate Project Architect, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. As part of our team at Gensler you will help lead a team that creates impactfuland memorable experiences.
What You Will Do
Engage with and help shape vision of projects through our collaborate design process. Take on responsibly for maintaining the project's design vision throughout the design process
Manage multiple aspects of the team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
Manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produceinnovative technical/constructable solutions
Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
Responsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
Resolves complex technical/design issues and detailing and provides guidance and mentorship to team
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
Assist with ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project delivery
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school required
5 years minimum of related experience, including demonstrated success on architectural core and shell projects
Proficient in Revit
Registered Architect required or actively in the process of obtaining a license
Working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent written + verbal communication skills
Collaborative and team-conscious
Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project delivery
