Summary

The Co-Op student will provide technical support and development for an internal project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks including writing and testing software, creating software tools, updating drawings and documentation
• Analyze design documents and system-level requirements and implement those designs into a software application
• Gather data and analyze existing processes and procedures in order to visualize the flow of a project and translate that visualization into an interactive application
• Provide administrative and technical support to Engineering department
• Assist other departments, when needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program in majoring in an Engineering discipline, preferably Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Must be familiar with web-based programming languages (PHP, Javascript, etc.)
• Must be familiar with SQL/Access database
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps and Flow is a plus
• Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
• Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be customer service-oriented
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• May be required to sit down for long lengths of time.
• May be required to climb stairs.
• Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator
• Must be able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground).
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
