Macmillan Publishers is currently offering paid, part-time, remote internship opportunities for summer 2021. Internships in our Trade Publishing division will be available in areas such as: Editorial, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Publicity, Art & Design, Sales/Events, Production, Podcasting, Speakers Bureau, Creative Services and Communication/Author Events.
Interns in our program will become familiar with the basic structure of a publishing house and the role of each department within. Interns will be provided with the opportunity to participate in job-related assignments, gain practical work experience and network with employees from various departments -- all virtually.
The Macmillan summer internship program is available to candidates who have graduated high school, are over the age of 18, are eligible to work in the U.S. and aspire to pursue a career in the publishing industry. Applicants who identify with groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the publishing industry [including but not limited to: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans and people with disabilities], are strongly encouraged to apply.
Interns will work no more than 40 hours per week. Internships starts on June 1, 2021 and will continue to August 13, 2021. If needed, there may be some flexibility in regards to the duration of the internship.
