Job Description
Primary Location: NC-Rose Hill Organization: HPD-Corporate Job: Grain Procurement Grain Internship - (20001501) Description Students will gain real-world experience with grain markets and grain operations that can be applied back to the classroom. During this 12 week internship students will have hands on work in each department of grain, have an broad understanding of grain inventory i.e. measuring, sampling, and testing for quality. Students will also fill in and run an elevator for at least a day and will visit at least one terminal elevator. Students will learn how cash basis values fluctuate on a daily basis and track changes accordingly. Student will follow environmental health and safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply. Student will perform all the other duties as assigned. Qualifications Junior or Senior preferred, must be pursuing an agriculture-related or business degree, willingness to work long hours,including weekends, great communication skills, works well with others, able to work outside, some manual labor required, one professional or academic reference required.
