Herzing University's Minneapolis campus has an opportunity for a nursing professional with teaching experience to join our team as a Faculty Clinical Coordinator.

Job Overview

The Faculty Clinical Coordinator is responsible for acquiring, contracting, monitoring, and evaluating all clinical sites for courses and student experiences.  The coordinator will arrange the clinical schedule at the facilities and forecast clinical needs for upcoming semesters.  The coordinator will coordinate and arrange internship/practicum/clinical and lab classes.

The Faculty Clinical Coordinator will ensure that all assigned faculty meet the credentialing requirements of assigned facilities and that all required paperwork is submitted to the clinical facilities within the required time frame.  The coordinator implements and teaches an orientation program for all clinical faculty to ensure that program outcomes are being met.  The coordinator documents that the site is meeting accreditation standards at least once per clinical rotation through a site visit or other communication means. Faculty observations will be conducted and documented as appropriate per accreditation requirements.

The Faculty Clinical Coordinator may also substitute for faculty coverage.

Requirements

  • MSN degree
  • Clinical education experience, and clinical coordination experience is highly preferred
  • Current, and unencumbered, nursing license or certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications.
  • Proficiency with other technologies currently used in clinical settings.
  • Prior teaching experience
