Sr. Software Development Engineer - Full Stack Developer

Job Description

You will be at the forefront of cloud technologies with interactions across the full breadth of AWS services. As a lead developer on the team, you'll own end-to-end from design, to development, to deployment, to monitoring and operations. You'll have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical experience developing complex applications. You'll work closely with the rest of the development team to build distributed systems for our customers.
Our team is responsible for developing software and services to deliver next generation knowledge management systems including machine learning models both for internal technical communities and also for the customers that build on top of AWS. The engineers on the team touch everything from the front-end UI to the back-end services and databases. We use variety of programming languages and frameworks, so experience with JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, HTML, AngularJS, and/or React will be helpful.
We are looking for a hands-on application architect and developer who will:
* Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise
* Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs.
* Own the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application, and serve as a technical lead on small to midsize complex projects.
* Build software solutions where the problem is not well defined and design and define the interaction between the solution components and other systems where applicable.
* Be a technical leader & driver for high standards and implementing best practices.
* Lead design creation and design reviews.
* Build highly scalable, cloud-native applications using services like AWS API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, and Elasticsearch.Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
* 7+ years professional experience in software development
