JOB DESCRIPTION



Job Summary
The GWC Requirements Analyst plays an integral role in driving business growthand improving profitability by providing exceptional analysis. Focuses ondelighting the customer by analyzing business processes to develop scopedocuments, validate requirements, document procedures, prepare user guides, andensure business goals are achieved from Operations to IT to Customer Delivery.



Essential Functions


  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert between Product, Operational, and IT business units. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Leads the development of system related documentation that includes flow charts, workflow tables, mapping documents, integration specifications, detailed requirements and provides system training. Analyzes business needs then translates and documents operational business requirements into functional specifications for the applicable business or IT unit. Negotiates timeframes and drives completion of agreed upon objectives from requirements to final implementations.
  • Provides oversight for the development of user acceptance criteria, test plans and test cases. Oversees functional/user testing (User Acceptance Testing) and accountable for user sign off changes.
  • Develop and build internal partnerships to improve communication, coordination, collaboration and effective working relationships within own department and across the Company.
  • Produces detailed functional requirements and/or user stories, including non-functional requirements.
  • Develop an extensive understanding of the business unit's function and effectively communicates technical issues in non-technical terms to the business unit.
  • Review and clarify user stories and user acceptance criteria with stakeholders and work with operational and IT business partners for further clarification as needed to finalize technical design and workflows.
  • Monitors system implementation ensuring user satisfaction and be comfortable with being hands on in support of implemented solutions. - Operational readiness, Implementation/Warranty Support, Production support, Project analytics and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Required Work Experience

  • 4+ years related work experience.
  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to include the ability to explain both complex and technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability to build relationships within the business area, across the organization, and external to GWC.
  • Experience with business requirements and business process analysis to ensure IT solutions meet the business needs
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and ability to facilitate adoption of changing priorities
  • Thorough industry knowledge in related business area and understanding of impact on the organization.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build relationships. Ability to effectively plan, organize, structure, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC
  • Understanding of a variety of architecture standards and ability to apply them in their design work
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of systems, subsystems, development methodologies, systems architecture, tools and processes that support the assigned business initiative or system.
  • Experience in applying research methodology to business solutions.
  • Knowledge of systems development concepts and method


Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Agile methodology.
