Operates imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist, Clinical Coordinator or appropriate corresponding Lead Imaging Technologist.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Knowledge of anatomical positioning and human physiology (as appropriate to modality) required.
• Knowledge of radiation protection as warranted.

Licensure & Certification:

• Licensure as a Radiographer in the State of Maryland required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• National Board Certification required.
• Advanced Certification in CT required.

• Knowledge of anatomical positioning and human physiology (as appropriate to modality) required.
• Knowledge of radiation protection as warranted.
• The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents as required.
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with patients, physicians, health system officials, other health system personnel and the general public is essential.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts in order to select appropriate technical factors.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret physicians' orders and other written communications methods of the health care team is essential.
