Safely operates feed truck with capacity ofmore than thirty (30) tons transporting materials to and from specified feedmill and farm destinations, possibly including tandem trailers.

JobRequirements Include:

• MeetDOT requirements

• Atleast 21 years of age

• NoDUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in last 10 years

• Meetminimum requirements to operate a CMV and have a current valid CDL issued fromonly one State

• Knowledgeableof FMCSR

• 1year CDL experience desired or completion of 3^rd Party Training

• Mustbe able to pass a DOT Physical upon initial hire

• Mayrequire tandem endorsement

• Feed deliveryexperience preferred

Essential JobResponsibilities:

• Wearseatbelt anytime vehicle is in motion

• Safelyoperate tanker-type tractor/trailer unit with high center of gravity

• Followrequired and recommended safety practices and procedures

• Reportall accidents promptly through proper authorities.

• Wearappropriate PPE in designated areas.

• Successfullycomplete a Road Test and be issued a certificate

• ProperlyPre-Trip and Post-Trip inspect the equipment

• Workin single driver environment

• Handleshipping documents to insure accuracy and timely submission

• Positionequipment properly to safely offload feed into feed bins

• Driveday/night in variety of climates and traffic

• Useon-board computer

• Maintainlogs, DVIR, itinerary, and other paperwork as required

• Fuelequipment and extract on-board computer (or turns in logs) daily

• Pre-loadtrailer for next shift.

• Mustbe able to pass DOT physical upon initial hire

• Mustbe able to climb ladders occasionally

• Mustbe able to shovel and clean up feed spills that occur from time to time andable to lift 50 # without difficulty

• Completeall required information on the CDL Driver Application For Employment

• Beable to read and speak the English language

• Beable to understand highway traffic signs and signals

• Beable to respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records

• Handleshipping documents to insure accuracy and timely submission

• UseFarm Directions Book, maps or GPS to avoid getting lost or going out-of-route

• Beable to converse with our business associated to resolve problems in a civilmanner

• Beable to calculate simple mathematical problems dealing with feed delivery

• Complywith all Bio-Security (BMS) and Environmental (EMS) management system's rulesand regulations

• Complywith DOT rules and regulations

• Complywith all Smithfield established policies and procedures

• NoDOT Recordable preventable accidents within the last three (3) years with a CMV

• Nomore than one (1) moving violation within the last three (3) years
