Legal Reporter (Level 1 Journalist)

Reuters is seeking an experienced Legal Reporter to hit the ground running and cover a wide range of legal news, from the business of law to litigation in a number of practice areas. The ideal candidate will write about high-profile court filings and rulings on a daily basis and will also be expected to proactively identify broader trends and bellwether cases as they develop. This journalist must be able to report deeply and write quickly and with insight for a targeted readership of legal professionals. Familiarity with legal research tools is essential as is a curiosity to delve into the world of white shoe and plaintiffs' lawyers, lobbyists and special interest groups. A minimum of two years of experience covering legal news is a must.
