Summary:

The Fluid Power Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems within the facility. This role requires a deep understanding of fluid power principles, including but not limited to pumps, valves, cylinders, and control systems. The technician will work closely with maintenance teams to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment reliant on fluid power systems. Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00/hr. The rate is subject to experience and qualifications. Benefits: 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off. Sign On Bonus: $3000.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including inspections, fluid changes, and component replacements
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fluid power systems to identify root causes of malfunctions and implement corrective actions
  • Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, valves, actuators, hoses, and fittings to restore system functionality
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of fluid power equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fluid power systems for efficiency and reliability
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to fluid power systems maintenance
  • Complete maintenance requests and assigned work orders in a timely fashion
  • Assist in new machinery implementation; including line setup, dust collection installation, plumbing, wiring, and operator training
  • When necessary and without supervision, accurately order parts using reference material provided or the internet, including communication with all necessary suppliers
  • Maintain paperwork documentation of all work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner
  • Follow our standard operating practices
  • Always communicate with your Team Leader when information seems lacking or you have any questions or concerns
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fluid power, air controlled and CNC controlled
  • Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven experience working as a maintenance technician, preferably in an industrial setting with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of fluid power principles and components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems using testing equipment and tools.
  • Able to make decisions and problem solve under little to no supervision
  • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Able to read blueprints and CAD drawings
  • General electrical knowledge of AC/DC,
  • Must be motivated to gain technical knowledge and understanding of production machinery
  • Field service and maintenance experience with a good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, air controlled and CNC controlled
  • Advanced understanding of air and electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, some weekends, and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
Credentials and Experience:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Additional technical certifications or training in fluid power preferred
Special Requirement: Schedule:
  • Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
