Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Enablement Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to design effective learning experiences for Thomson Reuters global sales professionals.We are seeking someone with a track record of applying instructional design principles, LXD and adult learning theories to create learning content and curriculum for both ILT and on-demand learning environments across all enterprise sales segments.

This role will work out of our Minneapolis, MN office.

You will work on an international team of made up of Sales Enablement Specialists, Learning Designers and Developers applying ADDIE/SAM methodology. Since you would often be representing the LXD team on enablement projects, written and verbal communication skills are critical. Digital learning development experience is also a critical part of your foundational skills relied on while designing, prototyping, and writing content. A willingness to dive in and assist with development as needed is part of our team culture. Sales Enablement is a fast-paced, high-energy environment so we must be comfortable working on multiple projects as a creative problem solver who is meticulous, customer-obsessed, and open to receiving/providing impactful feedback.

About the Role
As a Learning Experience Designer (LXD), you will:

  • Collaborate across the sales enablement, commercial excellence, and other lines of Thomson Reuters businesses to improve sales performance across the enterprise.
  • Design enablement solutions (e.g., instructor-led, digital on-demand, performance support etc.) that provide relevant and engaging learning experiences with measurable results.
  • Create digital and instructor-led blended curriculum with the specific intent of increasing job capabilities, revenue, and retention.
  • Perform gap analysis using learning and performance metrics to identify development opportunities.
  • Prioritize the importance of identified gaps and recommendations for addressing the performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define, document, and develop the content sequence.
  • Design and develop necessary learning collateral including facilitator and participant materials, presentation media, job aids, and knowledge checks. Finalize materials through reviews, developmental tests, pilots, etc.
  • Will take direction from senior team members.


About You
You're a fit for the role of Learning Experience Designer if your background includes:

  • 5+ years' experience designing sales skills, product and technical training in a sales or business setting.
  • Bachelor's degree required in learning design or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience designing and developing digital learning content using tools like; Articulate Rise and Storyline, Camtasia, VYond, Adobe CC or industry equivalents.
  • MindTickle LMS experience a bonus.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working with and through others to achieve them.
  • Are adaptable, able to learn and navigate quickly when faced with new, unfamiliar, or ambiguous situations; can quickly grasp the underlying issue.
  • Innovative thinking, action oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, superior communication, design and writing skills.
