The Career - What it is:

Apothecary Products (APL) is currently seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team! Manufacturing and packaging pharmacy supply and consumer wellness products, in this role you will be cross-trained to operate a variety of automated equipment at our manufacturing/distribution headquarters in Burnsville, Minnesota. If you're an experienced machine operator seeking a stable schedule, a clean workspace, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the creation of impactful products, we'd love to hear from you!

The Opportunity:

    Responsible for equipment set up and operation
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
  • Accurately read and follow operating procedures to ensure our products meet quality standards
  • Take initiative and proactively keep processes and tasks moving by understanding and referencing the production schedules
  • Accountable for completion of work order documentation to track equipment performance and product quality
  • Identify, inspect, and report product defects based upon quality checklist standards
  • Prepare products for shipment
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance activities
  • Keep the production area clean and organized
  • At times, may take an active role in training new operators
  • At times, may take an active role in process improvement projects
  • Follow and adhere to all APL policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment
  • May perform assembly and hand pack duties according to customer specification sheets
  • Other duties beneficial to the success of APL

Qualifications + Experience:

We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years in manufacturing environment operating equipment with increasing responsibility or machine operation complexity
  • Value safety in the workplace through actions and words
  • Ability to mentor/train others successfully on equipment
  • Must be skilled in ability to setup/change over equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Working knowledge to troubleshoot basic to advanced problems with machinery
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including but not limited to standing/walking duration of shift, infrequent lifting up 40 lbs.; infrequent up to 75 lbs.
  • Have a positive attitude, demonstrates reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Be a quick learner and team member others want to work alongside
  • Must be available and open to the idea of cross training + learning
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow standard operating procedures and quality standards
  • Demonstrated English language proficiency to meet requirements of the role for writing, reading, speaking, and listening
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and be able to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
