The Sales Executive in our Tax & Accounting Professionals Small-Mid client segment is responsible for retaining and growing their existing account base and acquiring new accounts within their geographic area of responsibility. The Sales Executive position is a virtual role, requiring excellent telephone and writing skills. The successful Sales Executive draws on their high level of initiative and ability to apply strong business acumen to conduct a thorough needs analysis within their accounts. The successful Sales Executive has the ability to develop trust, demonstrate their credibility with all account stakeholders through their knowledge of Thomson Reuters' products, and services and acquired knowledge of the tax and accounting industry. The Sales Executive tailors their client presentations to the unique needs of the individual account and articulates their proposals through ROI justification to shorten the sales cycle.

Location: This is an inside sales hybrid role (mix of working 'in-office and remote each week) that can be based in any of these corporate Hub office locations: Ann Arbor, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas

About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Sales Executive, you will:

  • Attain sales and renewal targets and quotas on a monthly basis
  • Demonstrate the use of Tax & Accounting products to the customer
  • Obtain and provide territory information regarding market intelligence and penetration
  • Confer with and assist in customer-related issues as needed to maintain good customer relations
  • Complete weekly sales performance reports and completes all CRM reporting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Drive strategic initiatives supported by assigned account team consisting of Sales Development Representative, Account Development Representative and Solutions Consultants to drive growth in assigned territory
  • Leverage sales automation tools and data insights to engage prospects and expedite sales cycles


About You:
You're a fit for the role of Sales Executive if you have:

  • Minimum 3 years' successful sales experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Software as a Service Sales (SaaS) experience a plus
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred) and overall technical aptitude
  • Continuous learner, flexible and open-minded, positive attitude
  • Collaborative, team player
  • High level of integrity and understanding of sales ethics
