Summary of the Job:

The senior process engineer is responsible for developing/reviewing process optimized, cost effective and risk abated process design leveraging VWTS product portfolio for industrial projects. The candidate will provide support to the Technical Director-Integrated Projects, Global Process Engineering Group and to the regions as required. The successful candidate possesses strong experience with the design, operability and availability of membrane / resin based treatment systems such as UF, RO, NF, EDI, ED, EDR, BPED and capable of sharing expert technical assistance to our customers for trouble-shooting system problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible to:

  • Develop/Prepare/Review Process Designs for both proposals and projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region.

  • Coordinate and /or provide process design support (incl. Eng. calculations) to project execution team following project award as required:

  • Review/Prepare Process Descriptions, mass balance, equipment sizing

  • Coordinate the timely preparation of control narrative, engineering drawings (PFDs, P&IDs Hydraulic Profile, Layout etc.)

  • During proposal and execution, ensure that VWTS process design meets customer needs regarding quality, quantity, power, consumables, operability, availability, and sustainability.

  • Support Commercial Eng. / Sales team with sales calls to clients, owners, and consultants.

  • Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering

  • Provide process support for commissioning, performance testing and operator training, as required.

  • Provide expert advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects.

  • Coordinate Pilot test plans and review/approve operating changes. Review and approve pilot reports technical content.

  • Assisting Process teams in development of new / improvement existing process engineering guidelines and tools.

Hard Skills:

Education & Experience Required:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Process Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline.

  • Master's in chemical, Process Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 15years engineering experience in the water and wastewater reuse industry out of which minimum of 5-year experience reflects dedicated expertise, with in depth chemistry knowledge, understanding in designing operations and Troubleshooting of complex integrated flowsheet solutions.

  • Strong communication skills to facilitate process optimization projects between the internal engineering team and the customer.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred:

  • PHD degrees

Working Conditions

  • Willing to travel internationally and locally up to 15-30%
