Position Overview
Under direct supervision, develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized programs to solve complex problems. Competent to work on low-to-medium level technical applications systems. Consult with technical and/or functional team members to ensure projects are in compliance with the company principles and policies. Design and implement graphical user interfaces. May analyze and design databases within an application area, participating in development as part of a team.

Designs, codes, tests and debugs programs according to spec.
Develop and perform software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Learn team coding practices, improve proficiency in a programming platform, and build familiarity with the company.
Solve complex systems problems as directed by architects, engineers, programmers and others and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Monitor support queues, resolve issues, and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications
-Attained (or pursuing) BA/BS degree in Business Administration, mathematics, Computer Science or Information Systems.
-Technical skills particularly in {JAVA JOB: Java 5 & 6, JavaScript, HTML, SML, Java and User Interface Design/Information Architecture.}
-Analytical discipline or 0-2 years of experience directly related to professional software development.
-Web development or Web Services experience a plus.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and instructional manuals.
-Ability to write reports and other varied business correspondence and present information effectively both written and verbal.
-Strong analytical ability to perform full range of system design and programming responsibilities utilizing state of the art concepts, techniques and languages.
-This position requires critical thinking, logic, and attention to detail.
-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.
-Knowledge of current information concerning programming, operating systems, hardware functions and hardware capabilities.
-Knowledge of systems analysis/design, computer programming and job control languages.
-Self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive and realistically ambitious with high personal ethics.
-Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team, as well as work with confidential material and information.
