Eide Bailly's National Tax Practice is currently looking for a Wealth Transition Services Manager to join its Minneapolis office location! In this role, you will work with a variety of people from different income brackets and backgrounds on their estate planning and tax compliance needs to ensure there are assets and income for future generations. This is a full-time position.

Since 1917, Eide Bailly has provided tax and assurance services to clients across all industries. These services account for more than 75 percent of our work. Our audit department conducts audits, compilations, reviews, and financial statement forecasts and projections, as well as assistance in understanding financial statements, conducting internal audits ,and evaluation and testing of internal controls. Our tax department serves 44,500 tax clients across the nation and prepares 92,000 returns annually. We help our clients manage their taxes through planning, business advice, tax research and IRS audit support. Clients appreciate our responsive and attentive service when dealing with their tax and audit needs. We are more than accountants: we are our clients' trusted business advisors.

Responsibilities:

The Wealth Transition Services Manager will be responsible for working with clients to assist them with the transition of wealth from one generation to the next. This assistance will include:

  • Working with staff to ensure individual, estate and gift tax returns are completed correctly by required deadlines.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff is an everyday part of the job.
  • Delegating responsibilities to the appropriate level.
  • Preparing high-level returns.
  • Working with the national Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.
  • Working with clients to ensure relevant tax-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared.
  • Assisting families which may have varied levels of estate planning knowledge.
  • Looking at the tax situation of the individual and their estate from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
  • Business development and billing responsibility.
Qualifications:

In the Wealth Transition Services Manager role, you will need excellent communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients, and other external business contacts.

Specific requirements include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • An active CPA license or law degree, AND significant experience working with wealth transition services.
  • 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, or a related field, working with individual clients.
  • Significant expertise in individual tax, transfer tax and estate planning.
  • Experience with flow-through entities and private foundations.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary, as you will interact with clients at all levels of the income scale and will speak in front of groups on wealth transition tax topics.
  • Good people management skills.
  • The ability to lead staff and assist with career development.
  • The ability to travel between offices.
